At 0733 hours, the South Bossier Fire Department was dispatched to Bobbie Lane for a reported Structure Fire. Further information from 911 stated that neighbors reported flames were visible and it was unknown if the home was occupied. Promptly after the dispatch, Engine 4, Tanker 4, Engine 1, Tanker 1, and Rescue 1, responded to the alarm. Minutes later, Engine 4 arrived on the scene confirming this as a working structure fire, fire venting from the "D" side of the structure, as well as there being a vehicle in the driveway. With the door to the residence being locked, forcible entry methods were used to enter the building. After access to the home was gained, members simultaneously performed aggressive interior fire attack tactics as well as an "initial search" for occupants. The fire was knocked down within minutes, isolating the fire to a bedroom. The primary search was also completed with negative findings. As the smoke was clearing and a secondary search was being initiated, Incident Command was advised that the homeowner was accounted for and the building was unoccupied. Crews then transitioned to overhaul and salvage operations. Members were on the scene for approximately 1.5 hours. The fire appears to be accidental at this time.
