The South Bossier Fire Department hosted its Annual Awards Banquet last night at Swamp Daddy’s. In midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the department held off on hosting this event in lieu of CDC Guidelines and State Restrictions. With COVID cases decreasing substantially, the leadership of the South Bossier Fire Department felt that we could safely host this event and recognize some of our outstanding members, which felt long overdue.
The dinner was attended by current and former members, professional, part-time, volunteer, families, and members of neighboring agencies that we work closely with. As always, Swamp Daddy’s provided great food that was enjoyed by everyone.
After dinner and a social hour, Chief Ryan Foster took the stage. He talked about the unprecedented times that the members of the South Bossier Fire Department were faced with. No matter the challenge, whether it was COVID-19, Structure Fire’s, Hurricanes, Tornado’s, or MVC’s, both volunteers and paid staff were resilient during policy changes and were able to continue to provide the professional service that we pride ourselves on.
Chief Foster then Recognized the following individuals:
Firefighter Jason Hawley – Most Certifications Obtained (Volunteer) Firefighter Randy McClain – Most Certifications Obtained (Paid) Firefighter Cameron Huddleston – Most Hours Volunteered Captain Jacob Tuttle – Most Training Captain Spencer Wiesner – Most Responses
Afterward, Chief Foster Presented the Annual Awards:
