Millage Continuation

On June 27, 2026, the citizens of South Bossier Fire District #2 will be asked to vote on the continuation of our primary property tax millage. This millage serves as the lifeline of our district, providing the essential funding needed to sustain daily operations.

These funds directly support critical services, including payroll for our personnel, utilities, maintenance, insurance, fuel, apparatus and equipment, as well as the upkeep of our stations and facilities. Without this funding, our ability to respond effectively and maintain the level of service our community expects would be significantly impacted.

The proposed continuation maintains a rate of 14.43 mills, which is a reduction from the 14.59 mills collected in 2024. This reflects our ongoing commitment to fiscal responsibility while still ensuring the resources necessary to protect our district.

We respectfully ask for your continued support of this millage. It is what keeps our doors open, our firefighters ready, and our community safe. In addition to this primary millage, the district also maintains a separate 3.46 millage dedicated specifically to equipment upgrades, ensuring we continue to modernize and improve our capabilities without impacting operational funding.
