NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR FIREFIGHTER/DRIVER OPERATOR

Application may be obtained from the Office of State Examiner Fire and Police Civil Service Website. https://ose.louisiana.gov/ The application is the FIRE AND POLICE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD APPLICATION FOR COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION that you turned in to take your civil service exam. With notification a copy may be obtained from our Station #1 located at 3551 Highway 527, Elm Grove, La 71051.

Completed applications and the required attachments must be turned into our station located at 3551 Hwy 527, Elm Grove, La 71051. They may be mailed in, but must be received by November 10th, 2025.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Unless otherwise specified, all requirements must be met by the filing deadline

Must meet all requirements of the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Law, including being a citizen of the United States, and of legal age.

Must have a current civil service score at the end of the application process.

Must not be less than eighteen (18) years of age.

COPY OF HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED EQUIVALENCY CERTIFICATE

COPY OF VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE

PHYSICAL FITNESS ASSESSMENT

Physical fitness assessment will take place on November 17th. A time will be issued to you after an application is turned in.

INTERVIEW

Interviews will take place on November 19th. A time will be issued to you after the application deadline.
