In honor of Jessie Henry, we are partnering with The Four Quarters Club and LifeShare Blood Center to have the first annual blood drive. Jessie’s main goal was always to help his community in whatever way he could. It has inspired us to all come together and work to keep his dream going.

LifeShare informed us that one in three people will need blood in their lifetime, and just one donation can save up to three lives. With 1 in 7 people entering the hospital, having blood available before emergencies or natural disasters is crucial. Despite all the advances in modern medicine, there is no manufactured substitute for human blood. It must be provided by volunteer blood donors in the community. This is where we come together in honor of Jessie and have a positive impact.

The Four Quarters Club is a non-profit organization that Jessie started to help children in our community. They are continuing to work hard at making Jessie’s goals a reality. They will be on-site providing dinner to everyone who donates in honor of Jessie.

We at the South Bossier Fire Department are calling on our community to make this a successful event that we will be able to host annually to honor one of our own. Please come out and join us in honoring Jessie Henry!
