At 1753 hours, South Bossier Fire was dispatched to a residential structure fire off of Highway 157. Promptly after dispatch, Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 4, Tanker 1, Tanker 4, Sprint 4 and multiple POV’s responded to the call for service. Minutes later, Engine 1 arrived on scene confirming a working structure fire, with flames and smoke visible. Crews immediately performed an aggressive interior fire attack, as well as a primary search of the residence. While performing the primary search, our crew discovered a dog named Delta in its kennel. The crews brought the lethargic dog outside and were able to administer o2. The remainder of the fire was quickly brought under control, then crews transitioned to salvage and overhaul operations. We are happy to report that Delta was playing around and back to her normal self upon our departure.
